SERVICES PROVIDED



The Parkdale Fire Department provides the following services.



Fire Suppression





Fire suppression priorities are the safety and protection of life, incident stabilization and property preservation. The Parkdale Fire District is comprised of 40 square miles in the Parkdale, Mt. Hood and Dee areas. All paid and volunteer personnel regularly participate in suppression training, fire safety, rescue operations, emergency medicine, and other fire-related training and educational programs. Personnel are trained and equipped to respond to structure, vehicle and wildland fires within our district and surrounding areas.



Emergency Medical Services (EMS)





Emergency medical services (EMS) are provided to the residents and visitors within a 450 square mile ambulance service area (ASA) in the Parkdale, Mt. Hood and Dee areas. The Parkdale Fire District operates two advanced life support (ALS) ambulances that are staffed by our highly training emergency medical technicians (EMTs). We currently have three level of EMTs on our staff: Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Emergency Medical Technician-Intermediate (EMT-I) and Paramedic.



Public Education





Public education is an essential component of the Parkdale Fire Department in making a positive difference in the community by educating our residences in life safety, environment protection, and property conservation. We schedule the following activities for all age groups:

-Fire Station Tours

-Fire Apparatus Demonstrations

-Community Event Participation

-Recruitment Events

-Fire Safety in Schools

Inspections/Plan Review





The Parkdale Fire Department is committed to ensuring that buildings within the District are compliant with the current fire and life safety codes. Signature from the Fire Chief is required on all new building permits, to obtain a signature please contact the fire station.
