ABOUT US

The Parkdale Fire Department is a combination career and volunteer fire department that protects 40 square miles of fire coverage and 450 square miles of ambulance coverage between Odell and Government Camp. Our crew of 30 volunteers and 2 paid employees are proud to prevent, protect, and preserve life and property from loss of fire, accident, sudden illness, or disaster in the community and to enhance the quality of life and to minimize suffering wherever possible.

The district is rural with a population of approximately 5,200 citizens and grows to about 6,000 during the summer months. The main road through the district is Oregon State Highway 35 which is a key artery between the Columbia River Gorge and Clackamas County.
The district is a full-service community delivery system providing fire suppression, prevention & education, fire investigation, structural plan review and inspections, fire & EMS training, advanced life-support ambulances, rescue operations, hazardous materials response, support, and other specialized services. We operate all of our responses out of the main station in Parkdale and also have two sub-stations located in Mt. Hood and Dee.
