Unfortunately, emergencies can and do happen. When precious seconds can mean the difference between life and death, you want to be sure you've done everything you can to make sure you can be found. Firefighters, police and medical personnel often find themselves frustrated when arriving to find several mailboxes at the end of a driveway, unmarked addresses or addresses that are difficult to read in the dark. Proper identification of your residence may be the difference in saving lives and property.
The Parkdale Fire Department is making address signs available for residents of our rural fire protection district. We encourage the use of these reflective signs placed as visibly as possible at the entry to your property.
